How come I couldn't run the enhanced version with the pop-up maps?

The CyberAtlas introductory page contains a script that checks to see whether your browser can handle JavaScript 1.1+, which is required to run the enhanced version. If you received a message indicating that you should view the simplified version of CyberAtlas, it means that this script decided your browser couldn't handle JavaScript 1.1+.

 

How can I get my browser to run JavaScript 1.1+?

You must have Netscape Navigator 3 or better; Internet Explorer 4 will also run most of the scripts in the enhanced version but may generate occasional errors. If you have one of these browsers and still get the introductory warning, check to see that JavaScript is enabled in your browser preferences.
